Mayor Heater called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM

Motion to Approve Amended Agenda was made by Council President Genese Simler and seconded by Council Member James Kelly. Roll Call Vote: Genese Simler aye, James Kelly aye, Scott Moffett aye, Kaylee Hunt aye.
Motion to Approve Consent Agenda was made by Council Member Kaylee Hunt and seconded by Council Member Scott Moffett. Roll Call Vote: Genese Simler aye, James Kelly aye, Scott Moffett aye, Kaylee Hunt aye.
Public Comments:
Fire Chief Jared Silvis reported KFR monthly report for July 2022. There were 90 calls for service, 74 of the calls were medical related and 52 of the calls needed medical transport. There were 11 calls for fire and 3 inter facility transfers. The calls are up 64% from last year.
Mayor Heater wanted to thank everyone who showed up to help clean up and paint the pool. We had a nice turn out of volunteers who worked through the hot temperatures to help get the pool in tip top shape for the community of Kamiah. Opening day is still contingent on the arrival of the sand filter. Thank you for your patience.
Discussion Items:
Discuss / Approve Implementing a Time Restriction of 15 minutes Infront of Wells Fargo
Bank. This discussion has been tabled until our next meeting. More research with Idaho
County Sheriff is needed.
Discuss / Approve Forgiveness of ½ Water Bill Consumption @ 3371 Tamarac in the amount of $75.60- Motion to approve ½ forgiveness of water consumption was made by Council President Genese Simler and seconded by Council Member James Kelly. Roll Call Vote: Genese Simler aye, James Kelly aye, Scott Moffett aye, Kaylee Hunt aye.
Motion to go into Executive Session Pursuant to Idaho code section 74-206(1)-based on the following statutory disclosure requirements (a) (b) consider personnel matters. Motion was made by Council President Genese Simler and seconded by Council Member James Kelly. Roll Call Vote: Genese Simler aye, James Kelly aye, Scott Moffett aye, Kaylee Hunt aye.
Re Enter Regular Session @ 6:22PM
Decision to pay Fire Chief Jared Silvis a salary of $5000 a month while Fire Chief Bill Arsenault is on workman’s comp-Motion was made by Council Member James Kelly and seconded by Council Member Scott Moffett. Roll Call Vote: Genese Simler aye, James Kelly aye, Scott Moffett aye, Kaylee Hunt aye.
Decision to continue to pay Fire Chief Bill Arsenault his current salary while on workman’s comp, he will do administrative duties remotely from home- Motion was made by Council Member James Kelly and seconded by Council President Genese Simler. Roll Call Vote: Genese Simler aye, James Kelly aye, Scott Moffett aye, Kaylee Hunt aye.
