Mayor Heater called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM

Motion to Approve Amended Agenda was made by Council President Genese Simler and seconded by Council Member Scott Moffett. Roll Call Vote: Genese Simler aye, James Kelly aye, Scott Moffett aye, Kaylee Hunt aye.
Motion to Approve Consent Agenda was made by Council Member Kaylee Hunt and seconded by Council Member James Kelly. Roll Call Vote: Genese Simler aye, James Kelly aye, Scott Moffett aye, Kaylee Hunt aye.
Public Comments: Mayor Heater wanted to let the residents of Kamiah know that there isn’t any truth to the rumors that we plan to switch to Idaho County Sheriff’s Department. We have a signed contract with Lewis County Sheriff’s Department, and we have no intentions of switching.
Discussion Items:
Discuss / Approve Annual Appropriation Ordinance 2022-01: The Budget for FY 2022-2023 has been completed. Mayor Heater read the Appropriation Ordinance and the budget is set for $3,152,734. Motion to approve the budget for FY 2022-2023 was made by Council President Genese Simler and seconded by Council Member James Kelly. Roll Call Vote: Genese Simler aye, James Kelly aye, Scott Moffett aye, Kaylee Hunt aye.
Motion to waive the 2nd and 3rd readings of Appropriation Ordinance 2022-01 was made by Council President Genese Simler and seconded by Council Member Scott Moffett. Roll Call Vote: Genese Simler aye, James Kelly aye, Scott Moffett aye, Kaylee Hunt aye.
Discuss / Approve Handicap Parking @818 Maple Street: The council is not sure that we can legally put a handicap parking sign in a residential neighborhood, but as discussion went on the council agreed that if we do for one, we must do for all, so this discussion item was not approved. Motion to not approve this request was made by Council Member Kaylee Hunt and seconded by Council Member James Kelly. Roll Call Vote: Genese Simler aye, James Kelly aye, Scott Moffett aye, Kaylee Hunt aye.
Discuss / Approve Adding a New Time Code to KFR Time Sheets-Jared Silvis: We have some part time PRN’s and EMT’s that require more pay than an ambulance driver with no training or certifications. We would like to add another pay code #80 for $12.00 an hour. Motion to approve this new pay code was made by Council Member James Kelly and seconded by Council President Genese Simler. Roll Call Vote: Genese Simler aye, James Kelly aye, Scott Moffett aye, Kaylee Hunt aye.
Monthly KFR Report-Jared Silvis: Last month, August 2022, we had a total of 66 calls for service. 48 of these calls were medical and 31 were actual transports. Ther were 10 fire calls, 3 windstorm hazards and 5 inter facility transfers. Keep up the great work KFR.
