The City of Kamiah is currently accepting applications for Water Treatment Operator.
Basic requirements: Must hold at least Class 1 or Class 2 Water Treatment Operator License and holding or the ability to obtain a Class 1 Water Distribution License. Further licensing is highly encouraged, particularly in Wastewater Operator and Collections.
In addition to plant operations, there will be times when the operator may be called upon to assist with teammates to install, repair, and maintain large water lines, fittings, and meters. This may require digging, lifting, and kneeling in a variety of outdoor weather conditions. Ability to operate equipment is also desired, CDL is optional. Water Treatment Operator will work under the supervision of the Lead Operator. In addition to Treatment Plant operations, a variety of other tasks may be required such as park maintenance, plowing snow, and other typical municipal tasks such as installing street signs and/or occasionally tree trimming.

Kamiah offers about the mildest weather Idaho has to offer.
